Monday (Nov. 17) at 10:00 AM in Bremerton Kitsap Soccer Club will officially be born and named.

Team colors are blue, white, gold and black. Uniforms — yes, he's negotiating with Puma, the German sporting goods company — and crests will be unveiled down the road.
Right now Waite is more interested in selling tickets, which he said is the key to attracting sponsorships.
Waite and Pecora will learn about their league schedule at the USL league meeting in Tampa, Fla., later this week.
Waite also plans to put together a four-team Kitsap Challenge Cup in April, hoping to lure teams from the Midwest and other regions to the area. He talked about playing games on a Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, with the winner taking home $7,500 out of a pot of $10,000-to-$15,000.
"It's something we're taking the initiative on and the league likes the idea," he said.

I hope the Pumas have great success. It sounds very exciting. It will be interesting to see how many former USL Sounders sign on with them.
One idea is to sign a couple of the better Sounder players as Player coaches. Maybe make the Tacoma vs. Puma more than just a team rivalry maybe a family one as well?
Anything can happen and it will be fun to see it continue to develop.

I took a lot of video at the name announcement, and it will be making its way to www.GOALKitsap.com over the next few days and weeks.
Here is Pumas youth coordinator James Ritchie talking Scottish football and Kitsap Pumas...
James tells us he is talking with some Brits about giving Kitsap a go in 2009...

I'm telling ye lads and lassies. We're taking o'er the shop. Mr Sounders Jimmy Gabriel is one of us, now Mr Ritchie has his hands on the tiller at Kitsap. Wonder if Messrs Moffat or Deuchar will appear next week.
And perhaps Drew will bring America's second most famous Partick Thistle fan, Craig Ferguson up to join me in a chorus of Mary from Maryhill. (You'll regret asking, so don't)

If the Utah teams leave the division, will they have an 18 game schedule?

Travel expenses are going to be fairly minimal with this team.
Are they going to get a Puma bus?
Maybe 2 one for the team and one for the fans or
are they going to rent or lease when needed?
