From American Soccer Management:

Players possess international and professional playing experience.
Technically and tactically strong. Strong and often taker of set pieces on U23
and U20 Moroccan national team

We could use a good taker of set pieces. No offense, Freddie.

Hopefully he pans out well during trial. I feel that the #10 is the last position that we really need to fill. Once we can find the right creative midfielder I think our squad is pretty much set.

i'd be happy with a left-footer forward for the left-side, but otherwise agree with your assessment.

the #10 is the last position? you mean where Ljungberg plays or the position itself.

The position itself.

I don't know about you, but it's pretty clear to me that Freddie plays WAY better when he's out wide. I think Sigi sees this as well as he's been playing Ljunberg out wide the last few matches and as had Pete Vagenas playing centrally.

I definitely do NOT want Vagenas running our attack. That's why I was saying that we need a creative central midfielder who can run our attack and who can be a set-piece specialist.

I think that Brad Evans does fine as our central midfielder.

He does, but he's not really a game-changer who makes defenses re-think their defensive strategy like a Blanco, Guevara, Morales, or Schelloto. I'm not saying we're going to get someone at their quality, but I definitely want someone who will draw defenses to them to open up space.

And I also want a true set-piece specialist. It could be this guy.

I think what you're trying to say is that we lack a creative midfielder, a playmaker whose passing puts the defense off-balance and provides opportunites for other dangerous players to shine.

I happen to agree.

Our best middies (Freddie, Evans, Ozzie, Zakuani) are not pure playmakers, they are either prototypical holding mids, or attacking mids---but they are not possession oriented playmakers.

I won't go on my Juninho rant again, but that is the type of player I wish we had. Imagine what Freddie and Zakuani could do with a player of that quality pulling the strings......

Wishful thinking, naturally....

I see him filling into the CM if Freddy Mon leaves during Tfer period and Fred Ljun moves up top with "Jock-wa"

Rida Lah Douliazale. Scored 23 goals in 73 appearances for Wydad Casablanca and 12 games with 1 goal for the Moroccan National U-20 and 23 teams. Could be the "beginning of a beautiful friendship."
